Our almond protein is a gluten free and a low carb flour. Almonds contain many nutrients, healthy fats and are high in protein. The partially de-oiled variant has a particularly high protein content of approx. 60%. Our almond protein is made from 100% blanched almonds. It is characterized not only by its high protein content and essential amino acids, but also by its high content of vitamins B2, B3 and E as well as the minerals calcium and magnesium. The almond protein is soy, lactose and gluten free and suitable for a vegan diet.
Because of its fine almond taste the protein can be used for small energy balls or bars together with dried fruits, in cereals, smoothies and protein shakes and can make the basic ingredient for vegan ice-cream.
In the field of gluten free baking classical flours can be replaced by almond protein. The recommended amount of flour in a recipe has to be halved: e.g. 400 g wheat flour can be replaced by 200 g almond protein. The protein is gluten free and therefore the gluten characteristics have to be replaced by guar gum (ca. 1 tbsp per 200 g).

Recommended dosage: Mix 20 g protein powder in 200 ml liquid with a shaker. Or mix in cereal, smoothie or yoghurt. Or for production of baking goods as substitute for wheat flour.
