Our pure guar gum E 412 is a vegetable, tasteless and powerful thickener that improves the consistency of a multitude of foods. Guar gum as a thickening agent is eight times stronger than corn starch, so only very small amounts are needed to thicken the food. It gives baking goods a better texture and elasticity. Dairy products get the desired creaminess and homogeneity. Salad dressings and sauces get a stable, smooth consistency that is desired by consumers. Guar gum comes from the seeds of the tree Cyamopsis, which is native to India. It is also particularly used in combination with locust bean gum E 410.
