Bavarian Rice in the ancient grain mix - all delicious ancient grain rice types are included here in equal parts - pearl emmer, pearl einkorn and pearl spelled - and can be used just like each individual variety.


Due to its healthy ingredients and its fine taste, the ancient grain is gradually being rediscovered. A real specialty is the Bavarian Rice in the ancient grain mix. It consists of polished or ground ancient grains that are prepared like rice. The mild nutty taste of the einkorn and the al dente consistency of the grain offer a very special taste experience.


The ancient grain mix is used like rice. Cooking time is about 25 minutes without soaking the grains. Depending on how soft you like it, add 1 cup of ancient grain mix to 1.5 cups of water or broth (grain tends to be grainy) or 2 cups of liquid (rather soft). The ancient grain mix is suitable as a side dish instead of rice, for risotto, stir-fries, fillings, grain dumplings or patties. The grains for the ancient grain mix come exclusively from our own cultivation of organic fields in the Chiemgau. The treatment of the harvested grain up to the finished bag is done very carefully and gently by hand.


Our tip: Boil 1 cup of ancient grain mix in 2 cups of water or vegetable broth and leave to swell for 20 minutes with the lid closed. Add a little salt and butter or oil and the side dish is ready!
